Freshwater Biwa Pearl Necklace

This biwa pearl necklace has a casual island feel to it with its blush pink biwa pearls dotted along delicate sterling silver chain. Tiny pink freshwater pearls connect the lobster clasp. Sweet and feminine, this necklace would be lovely at a summer wedding.

This necklace is adjustable in length from approx. 16-18" (40.6-45.7cm), thanks to an extender chain at the back. Photo #1 shows the necklace at its shortest length; photo #3 shows the necklace fully extended. A small pink pearl decorates the end of the extender chain.

What is Gold-Filled?

Gold-filled is an economical alternative to solid gold. By law, it has 1/20th by weight layer of 14 karat gold permanently bonded over a core of base metal. It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewellery.
