Gold Pendant Necklace with Tourmaline, Garnet and Pearls

This wire wrapped tourmaline necklace combines every shade of tourmaline with warm yellow gold. Over three dozen tiny tourmaline stones are wrapped inside the teardrop-shaped pendant, and the chain is decorated with champagne and taupe pearls and small, sparkly garnets. I have used pink, blue-green, peach and brown tourmalines, which showcases the wide array of available colours. A petite lobster clasp secures the necklace. What is Gold-Filled?

Gold-filled is an economical alternative to solid gold. By law, it has 1/20th by weight layer of 14 karat gold permanently bonded over a core of base metal.
