Gold Earrings, Abalone Paua Shell, in Purple Peacock Colors

These gold earrings are elegant and so shimmery. Abalone shell is known for its swirls of blue, green and gold, but the pink/purple shade is more unusual. I chose these beads because they contained the most pink and purple, which I think goes so well with gold. The 14mm beads swing from gold vermeil, satin finish leverback earwires. A great choice for every day.

Earrings are approx. 1 3/8" (35mm) long from the top of the lever to the bottom of the abalone.

What is Gold-Filled?

Gold-filled is an economical alternative to solid gold. By law, it has 1/20th by weight layer of 14 karat gold permanently bonded over a core of base metal. It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewellery.
