Citrine and Grey Moonstone Earrings

These unique earrings combine golden yellow citrine and dark grey moonstone. I love the yellow/grey combination, and the gold metal really warms up the colours. The earrings start with a trio of faceted citrine stones, each one linked to the next to form a short handmade chain. At the bottom of the earrings swing spike-shaped grey moonstones. This moonstone has a lovely shimmer, and are slightly transparent. Simple gold vermeil earwires complete these long, elegant earrings.

These earrings are approx. 2 1/2" (63mm) in length from the top of the earwires to the bottom of the last stone.

What is Gold-Filled?

Gold-filled is an economical alternative to solid gold. By law, it has 1/20th by weight layer of 14 karat gold permanently bonded over a core of base metal. It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewellery.
