Simple Pyrite Necklace, Burnished Gemstone

This elegant pyrite necklace features a gorgeous, iron pyrite onion-shaped gemstone. Pyrite is also known as fool's gold, and is a beautiful, dark gold colour. Some pyrite is dull, but this high-quality gem is beautifully faceted so that it really sparkles. Gem is wire-wrapped with oxidized sterling silver wire which really sets off the burnished gold stone. Gold-filled chain and lobster clasp decorated with more pyrite stones completes this necklace of dark and light.

What is Gold-Filled?

Gold-filled is an economical alternative to solid gold. By law, it has 1/20th by weight layer of 14 karat gold permanently bonded over a core of base metal. It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewellery.
