Hessonite Garnet Necklace

I created this elegant hessonite garnet necklace with five heart-shaped stones in deep burnt orange and golden orange shades. The gold-filled chain is quite fine, and complements the gemstones beautifully. The flower look is created by wrapping these five gems carefully with gold-filled wire. Finished flower is approx. 16mm (5/8") in size. Little gemstones connect the lobster clasp.

What is Gold-Filled?

Gold-filled is an economical alternative to solid gold. By law, it has 1/20th by weight layer of 14 karat gold permanently bonded over a core of base metal. It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewellery.
