Apatite and Gold Necklace with Bright Aqua Gemstone

This pretty gold necklace contains a gemstone called apatite: a bright aqua-coloured stone that is wonderful for Summer. The small gemstones decorate two lengths of gold-filled chain, while a third length of larger cable chain completes the necklace. The multi strand look is fuller than a single chain, but still feels nice and light around your neck. Little apatite stones connect the lobster clasp.

Necklace is approx. 16" (40.6cm) long. My mannequin is life-sized, and should give you a good idea of where this necklace sits. Let me know if you would prefer a different length.

What is Gold-Filled?

Gold-filled is an economical alternative to solid gold. By law, it has 1/20th by weight layer of 14 karat gold permanently bonded over a core of base metal. It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewellery.
