Modern Morganite Choker

The center of this simple choker necklace is a single morganite quartz gemstone. The softest pink, this stone is beautifully faceted to reflect the light. The 8mm quartz is paired with fine, rose gold filled chain, and small gemstones connect the lobster clasp. I have made this necklace with both silver and yellow gold, but the rose gold is my personal favourite. I think that it complements the icy pink gemstone perfectly.

What is Gold-Filled?
Gold-filled is an economical alternative to solid gold. By law, it has 1/20th by weight layer of 14 karat gold permanently bonded over a core of base metal. It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewellery.
