Plum and Olive Green Bracelet in Gold - Changing Orchard

This plum and olive green bracelet was designed with Fall brides in mind. Many shades of olive green, plum and gold are incorporated into this piece, from the darkest olive green to the palest green-gold; from dark mulberry to lavender. I used oro verde, honey quartz and cognac quartz for the gemstones; and freshwater pearls in shades of olive green, lavender, plum and mulberry. An elegant, gold vermeil hook clasp secures the bracelet and adds a touch of shine.

Some of the gemstones are AAA quality, while others are a rougher cut. Some pearls are keishi-shaped, while others are almost perfectly round. I love the juxtaposition of fine and imperfect, and it makes the piece much more interesting.

What is Gold-Filled?

Gold-filled is an economical alternative to solid gold. By law, it has 1/20th by weight layer of 14 karat gold permanently bonded over a core of base metal. It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewellery.
